HOPE School Christmas field trip

As you can see, Dany was very excited to go with her friends to see....
SANTA!

Here is Dany's HOPE School class with Santa.
They all had so much fun!

After visiting with Santa we took the kids to do their own shopping.
They were able to shop at a store called Santa Express,
where they have volunteers help the kids pick out the presents
they would like to give their families.
Proceeds go to benefit Vanessa Beeham Crisis Nursery.

Kylie joined her sister since this is Dany's last year doing this with HOPE School.

They get to wrap the gifts and put tags on them inside the workshop.

Dany and her friends....

and the whole group of family and friends.
We all had such a great time!

Disney On Ice...November 18, 2009

Minnie and Goofy waved right at Dany
and Minnie blew her a kiss!

The Cars were pretty cool!

Ariel and Erik....they kissed! :)

Simba and Nala

And here she is....

TINK.....

Goofy waved at Dany again ;)

The girls by all the spring colors that Tink
brought to the rink!

Dany and her Tinker Bell memorabilia!
(We brought Tink with us to watch the show...
one way to keep the little one from asking
to buy more of the stuff at the show.)

Happy Veteran's Day!

(Kylie in 1st grade)

Thank You to all the past, present, and future men and women who serve in the armed forces.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!

(Dany's last year of Pre-K)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag
Of the United States of America.
And to the Republic for which it stands
One Nation Under GOD
Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all!

Before the Snow Falls...2009

Halloween Day 2009;
Kylie is a really awesome Big Sister!
She and Dany are supposed to be raking up leaves and bagging them,
but instead, they were having too much fun "jumping" in the piles!

Josh decided to use the machine to "carve" his pumpkin

Pretty detailed!

Then it was time to dress up for Trick-or-Treating
Dany wanted to wear pajamas, so she was Baby Princess Sleeping Beauty

Kylie loves the Twighlight Series, so she dressed as a vampiress from the Voltry

Then Kylie wanted to put make-up on her dad, so...he joined in the fun :)
Pretty girls

Before the snow falls...2009

Some fun pictures of September:

My Kylie is growing up so fast!

And Dany is loving to pose :)
Kylie got to "babysit" my brother's kids for the afternoon
and they all had fun posing for the camera-

Then we had a reception for my youngest sister's wedding

and pulled off a surprise ceremony for my dad!

Before the snow falls...2009 (Cont.)

In September we took a trip to Lake Chelan for one last trip before we got into the swing of things with school, work and the holidays.

The girls got to play on the beach and the park, in the pool and with their cousin Alan!

Kylie and Alan.

Here are Dany and Alan eating pizza and watching the new Madigascar.

Then we went on a hike with Travis and Karen up to the Waterfalls in Entiat.
The weather was rainy, but it did not stop us. It was a great hike
and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

God's hidden treasures.

One of my favorite pictures of the girls...

And then it was time to get back to school!
Dany Loves School! And she loves to say The Pledge of Allegience:
I pledge allegience to the flag
of the United States of America.
And to the republic for which it stands
One Nation, Under GOD
Indivisible, with liberty
And justice for all!

Five Finger
This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.'
2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.
3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.
5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, 'The least shall be the greatest among you.' Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself.
By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

August 17th

For our 7th wedding anniversary, Josh and I chartered this little seaplane...

Josh would have loved to be the one piloting the plane,
While I completely enjoyed the view! It was amazing!!!!

We flew over the Sandpoint and Clarkfork, Idaho area.
